Triacetin; Glyceryl triacetate; propane-1,2,3-triyl triacetate, Chemical name: 1,2,3-Propanetriol triacetate

Colorless transparent oily liquid with bitter taste. Non-toxic, slightly soluble in water, soluble in a variety of organic solvents and has the continuity of general esters.

Boiling point 258℃ (0.101mpa), flash point 140℃~143℃. Strong solvation and can provide products with good flexibility.

The most important use of this product is as the plasticizer of cellulose diacetate, the filter tip of cigarette.

It can also be used as flavor and fragrance, costometic fixative and lubricating matrix.

Besides, it is also used as ink coating, cellulose nitrate, cellulose acetate, ethyl cellulose and cellulose acetate butyrate plasticizer and solvent.
