Polyethylene glycol (PEG) is a non-ionic polyhydroxyl compound, it is synthesized by ethylene oxide anddiethylene glycol.

Different molecular weights have different solubility, surface tension, viscosity, freezing point,and melting points, so the difference in their applications is fully dependent on the molecular weight, which range from 100 to 8,000.
